God's Love and Forgiveness

9 Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

10  Your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

11  Give us this day our daily bread,

12  and forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13  And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Join us in Prayer!
Sunday
Nov. 13
6:00pm
at CBC

Today, more than 360 million Christians experience extreme persecution and discrimination for following Jesus. That's 1 in 7 Christians worldwide.  In places like India, extremist mobs often attack Christians. In North Korea, owning a Bible can get your entire family sent to a labor camp. In China, the government tracks Christians and shuts down unauthorized churches. And in places like Iran, it's illegal to even convert to Christianity.  However, even during extreme persecution, the global Church is alive, full of joy and growth.

Pray for Pastor Adolf in Indonesia as he disciples hundreds of Christians from a Muslim background.  Indonesia is the most populous Muslim country in the world, and when a Muslim converts to Christianity, they often suffer extreme persecution, discrimination and loneliness.  Pastor Adolf stands in the gap to guide these new believers into a stronger faith as part of a new community.

Pray for Pauline in Burkina Faso to heal from the deep trauma she experienced at the hands of the terrorist group Boko Haram.

Members of the Islamic extremist group abducted Pauline and her two daughters and kept them in captivity for more than two years.  They found their freedom just over a year ago through a harrowing escape.

Pray for Marga in Ethiopia to continue to stand strong for the gospel in his village. The predominant religion in Marga's community is animism. Marga heard the gospel and gave his life to Jesus-- the first Christian in his area. He was beaten after sharing the Gospel but continued and now there all four churches in his village.

Pray for comfort and courage for Alba, our sister in Christ in Colombia.  Her pastor husband was killed in their home. Today, Alba is doing her best to raise her son, Sebastian, and daughter, Daniela, in a place where cartels, paramilitaries and gangsters all see Christians as enemies of their lucrative drug trade.

These prayers represent the needs of millions of Christians around the world. Pray daily for families living in the most dangerous countries to follow Jesus. Pray for the small underground remnant of Christians in Afghanistan, the unjustly imprisoned believers in Iran, and the Christians forced into labor camps in North Korea. The needs are great, but we know God is powerful. Please pray for all believers who suffer in the name of Jesus.
