Who We Are
Welcome! We are a Christian faith based, hands on preschool enrichment program that is founded on the belief that parents are the main disciples of their children. We are excited to partner with you through our program by creating an environment that will foster the spiritual, emotional, and physical development of all the children we get to serve.
Goals
In the Lil’ Seeds cooperative program the parents and teachers are considered a team, both contributing to the child’s total growth and development. Our team goal is to prepare our children for the future by instructing them in God’s Word which teaches them to love God, love one another, and to love themselves. We want each child to feel loved, valued, and secure in this environment called “Lil’ Seeds”.
Each child needs a wide range of early experiences in order to progress effectively from one sequential state of development to the next. He/She also needs a warm accepting adult to help them make the transition from home and family to group living beyond the family circle. For this reason, Lil’ Seeds is a cooperative enrichment program, 6 hours a week, where parents are included and the atmosphere is homelike.
Policies and Guidelines
1. Drop Off
School starts at 9:00. PLEASE be on time. We need to prepare before class, so please don't drop off your student early. This is our academic hour and students will miss out, and create a distraction fr others if they are late. So, once again, please be on time, we appreciate it
2. Pick Up
School is over at 12:00. Please be on time. Pick up will be at the playground or in the classrooms (on cold or rainy days).
3. Tuition
Our tuition for the year is $900.00. This can be paid monthly with a $100.00 payment. Payment will be collected before school during the first week of each month. Make checks payable to Calvary Bible Church. A 5% discount will be given to payments made in advance for the semester. Siblings enrolled at Lil' Seeds will receive a 10% discount.
4. Emergency Days
We are starting one week early to add additional emergency days for snow, fire and power shutoffs. We will send an email if there is no school on a scheduled day.
5. Absences
Absences of one month or more due to illness or vacation require one-half tuition. Any absences less than a month will be charged the full tuition fee.
6. Illness
Do not send a child if he/she shows any sign of illness. Please wait 24 hours after having a fever before returning to class.
7. Dress
Please dress your child comfortably for active and creative play. We do go outside on cold days so remember those jackets!
8. BIrthdays
We celebrate every child's birthday on or near their actual day (Summer birthdays are celebrated in May). We will do something special to recognize each birthday, but parents are welcome to bring a special treat to help celebrate their child's birthday.
9. Parent Help
Please consider working in the class once a month. If you are unable, we would ask you bring a snack for that day. See parent helper responsibility for more details.
10. Fingerprinting
Parents (and/or Grandparents) who will be working in the classroom are required to be fingerprinted through Calvary Bible Church. There are no exceptions. Please see the fingerprinting download for details.
11. Stay & Play
Twice a month we offer stay & play. On the first and third Thursdays of each month, your child can stay until 3:00pm for an additional $15 cash per day. If your child stays, you need to provide a lunch for them, and pay the $15 that day.
Parent Helper Details
We would love parents to help once a month in the class. Please consider taking this opportunity to work in the classroom and see your child at work and among their peers. If you can only stay a short time, the 9:00-10:00 hour is the best as that is our academic hour and set up for snack. We really appreciate the help! Thank you!
If you are unable to work in the class, we wouls still ask that you bring snack once a month for the class. Due to many fod allergies (most to gluten), we would ask that you bring fruit or veggies with one other item. That way, those alergic can at least have the fruit or veggies. The other item does not need to be gluten free. Here are some ideas:
Cheese, crackers, pretzels, pirate booty, muffins, bagels, sandwiches, cereal, man-c-cheese, etc.
You may bring juice or milk, but it is not necessary.
You do not need to bring cups or napkins.
When you are helper, your child is also the student helper, therefore thay get to be line leader and bring a "share" to class. They will also assist the teacher when needed.
Please arrange childcare for additional siblings not enrolled in Lil' Seeds. No child should ever be left unattended.
